Let's read with children...
I have a great need to share with you my experience and the topic of choosing children's books at home. On my way to looking for high-quality children's literature, I have come across a number of interesting events in my area, well-committed parents, bloggers, etc. It took me quite a bit of time to get a good children's book, so I'd like to help at least a few of you save some time with a few tips on how to get to that book. It is better to come to the finished as they say :) :) :)
In our home, books go still, but more than ever. We like to read during the day and in the evening it is rarely without a book. The newest book we carry with us in the bag and out on the playground, for a walk… We do not always pull it out, but it is there if something :)
The books we have at home have already fulfilled their task, and there has been room to buy new ones. The big dilemma for me as my mother was: “What books to get into the library for the little ones?” As in everything, I very much perceive how saturated the market is and it is difficult to navigate and choose a good (not only) children´s book. The book, which is not complicated, has a story, above all, a funny story :) has a message and the child can captivate.
A discussion in Cooltajner in Považská Bystrica on the topic “We are reading with children” helped me to decide and orientate myself in the market. Here I had the opportunity to have a glimpse of high-quality children's literature that was presented as demonstrations. One of the participants was Alžbeta Uhríková, a blogger (http://www.pampuch.sk). And, not only, it is thanks to her that I got to interesting children's book titles, some of which are part of our library. On her little pampucho you will find lots of tips and reviews for books by child age.
Equally valuable was the www.citajmesispolu.sk website, which has helped me to find answers to questions such as “How to read with our children?”. (The Ten Commandments with Children) and "Why and How to Read Good Books to Our Children".
And this is what our MonToy library looks like with new interesting children's titles:

You can find our Montessori library here: https://www.montoy.eu/montessori-bookcase

I have already read them :)… btw. it is also mega important before we start reading the book to our children. It is important that we ourselves be good parents with the book, whether in terms of value, opinion or attitude… And it is not possible to do so only by scrolling it beforehand.
We parents should trust the book. And to do that, we need to know her. This will prevent the situation that we have to deny the child something the author says in the book and we do not agree internally. This can unnecessarily confuse the child.
Let's read together with the children… :)
Take care, I wish you the days filled with love and joy with your little ones!
